I’m Emma — the heart behind Pop of Pure

My love for photography began long before it became a profession. What started as documenting friends and family with a little point-and-shoot camera eventually grew into a lifelong passion for preserving people and their stories with honesty and intention. After beginning my professional journey in 2015 and earning my photography degree in 2021, I’ve spent years refining not only my artistry, but the experience I create for the couples who trust me with their memories.

Growing up in the wedding industry shaped so much of how I approach a wedding day. I understand how meaningful these moments are, not just as beautiful events, but as deeply personal gatherings filled with emotion, legacy, celebration, and connection. My goal is never simply to take pretty photos. I want my couples to feel genuinely cared for, fully present, and comfortable enough to simply enjoy the people around them while I thoughtfully preserve the story unfolding in front of me.

The name “Pop of Pure” reflects what matters most to me in my work. “Pure” represents authenticity — the real emotion, relationships, and moments that make your story uniquely yours. “Pop” reflects the warmth, joy, and life I bring into the experience. I believe some of the most meaningful photographs happen when people feel known rather than performed.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me serving in my church community, spending time with the people I love, collecting far too many mugs and Christmas decorations, or finding inspiration in the small, meaningful details of everyday life.

Whether I’m documenting a wedding day, an engagement season, or a quiet chapter in someone’s life, my desire remains the same: to create imagery that feels timeless, genuine, and full of life years after the moment has passed.

HOL Visuals - Second Photographer

Hi, I'm David!

I grew up on a farm and have always had a love for the outdoors. I started taking pictures at a young age just trying to capture any simple thing that I thought was cool or beautiful to look at, and that kinda transitioned into landscape photography, which then turned into portraits, and later on weddings!

Photography is just one of my creative outlets. I also enjoy videography and just being creative in every day life!

A couple fun facts about me:

- I love Jesus

- I am a coffee connoisseur

- I really enjoy fitness and learning how to eat healthy

- Music is one of my passions. I play drums, piano, guitar, and I sing as well.

- my favorite color is ocean blue

- I am 6'4" and an 1/8 to be exact

Most importantly, I will help ensure that we capture the most impactful and special moments of your Wedding Day and document them for you to enjoy for years to come!
